Don’t Support Your Slavers – Buy Local, Support Independents

It’s generally very refreshing to deal with local small business people. They tend to be honest and competent, two traits that are becoming rare in the realms of business, government or the media, as well as friendly and warm.

The bigger the corporation, the more likely that honesty, ethics, and even basic competence, go straight out the window.

You want sleaze, and cheap, shoddy goods and services – go big, go corporate: go to chains, McRestaurants, McBars, and box stores.

I say we have better choices available. Buy local. Support independent business. Save the planet, save your community, and save yourself some grief.

Now more than ever, it matters. It matters greatly.

Don’t feed the hydra. Boycott the Fortune 500 wherever possible.

Don’t support your slavers. That should be rule #2.

Rule #1, of course, is think for yourself.
