Trump Says Up, You Say Down: Psyops 101

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on March 27, 2020 by jtoddring

The deep state steers Trump. Smart move would be to nudge him to dismiss the coronavirus as over-hyped. Then the lemmings will trip over themselves to avoid guilt by association. But even idiots can be right sometimes, remember. Even a broken watch tells the right time twice a day. But the centre and left reacted like Pavlov’s dogs. Now they are loathe to admit they made a mistake, so they refuse to look at facts, and dig in. The majority are easily manipulated by elites playing power games…. It’s terrifying how easily the majority can be manipulated. That is the real danger.

*

Trump is a tool of the Deep State. He thinks he’s a brave rebel, at war with the Deep State. Or so he thought until the generals schooled him. Now he obeys orders.

Trump may be unpredictable and a loose cannon, but by and large, the Deep State has him firmly under control. They steer him, letting him believe he has far more power and autonomy than has actually has. He is another pawn – a pawn they wish to remove from the board, but a pawn so long as he is in play, nonetheless.

That considered, and that summary of Trump and the Deep State is pretty much unquestionable, it is interesting to note how an intelligent psyops campaign might be played out, if the ruling neoliberal elite wanted to:

a) get rid of Trump; and more importantly,

b) distract the people from the major crises –  the economy, poverty, inequality, injustice, climate change, pipeline protests, an explosion of protests world-wide, simultaneous with growing oligarchic and fascist powers, class warfare, imperial wars abroad, and the rapidly growing crisis of legitimacy of the ruling elite and the entire global corporate oligarchy – distract the people by a greatly exaggerated public health crisis (see my earlier articles, especially, Coronavirus: Facts & Fallout); and

c) use the public health crisis as a way to further intensify class warfare, crash the economy for this purpose, and loot the people further, in the process hopefully removing Trump in the 2020 election, and bring about police state measures in response to the largely manufactured crisis.

Nudging Trump to initially dismiss the virus as greatly overblown – which it is (see WSJ article, re-posted on my blog, written by Standford University professors, saying exactly this); and now to signal he wants an end to “social distancing” soon; would have the predictable response from the centre and left: they would, and did, trip over themselves stampeding to avoid any association with Trump.

Trumps says Up, so we say Down. Trump says black, so we say white. Trump is crazy, scary, stupid, and bad (all true) so we must disagree with everything he says (a foolish and childish reaction).

Everyone in the centre and on the left wants to avoid guilt by association with Trump. It is an unconscious but powerful reaction. Trump says X; Trump must be wrong, always; so we say Y.

But remember, even idiots are right sometimes. And even a broken clock tells the right time twice a day.

Look at the evidence. Avoid knee-jerk reactions. We are being manipulated, and played.

Investigate. And think for yourself.

The centre and left are acting like Pavolv’s dogs. They are cheerleading for a narrative that is demonstrably false, proven false by the facts; and worse, they are cheerleading for the removal of our rights and freedoms, and the imposition of a police state.

“The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.” – H. L. Mencken

“We Americans are the ultimate innocents. We are forever desperate to believe that this time the government is telling us the truth.” – Sydney Schanberg

“If you think any American official is going to tell you the truth, then you’re stupid.” – Arthur Sylvester, assistant secretary of defense for public affairs, to American journalists, 1965

“This is a business-run huckster society, whose cardinal virtue is deceit.” – Noam Chomsky

“During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.” – George Orwell

Can you spell, (self-) L-O-B-O-T-O-M-Y?

At present, to repeat, the centre and left are being misled and manipulated, en mass, into:

a) accepting a narrative which is patently false (remember Saddam’s WMDs?), and does not fit the facts (see the Italian government’s study on the true death toll from the coronavirus, and the WSJ article by two Stanford professors);

and, more terrifyingly, into:

b) screaming loudly in defense of a normalization of the very authoritarian measures they should be fighting against.

Now that is a psyops/propaganda/social engineering coup.

Let us pray it is short-lived, and the people recover their senses, and their sanity, and soon.

Global Health System Failure – It’s Not What You Think

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 24, 2020 by jtoddring

Who do we turn to for reliable health information? That is one of the critical questions we need to ask now.

(Another is, when is it justified to suspend all civil rights, due process of law, and constitutional rule? Hint: never.)

What the media is telling us is that:

a) the coronavirus represents an extraordinary danger – though the figures say that claim is false: 11,000 deaths in three months from coronavirus vs 50,000 deaths PER DAY from hunger and obesity;

and

b) mass quarantines, effectively mass house arrests, suspension of constitutional rights, especially freedom of assembly and freedom of travel, but also far more, along with draconian, authoritarian, police state measures, are necessary and justified – despite the extreme imprudence this represents, and despite the scientific evidence, which the Italian government has provided, which shows the coronavirus poses effectively ZERO THREAT FROM CONTAGION UNLESS YOU ARE VERY OLD OR ALREADY SICK.

Governments and media world-wide have glossed over the SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS PROVING MASS QUARANTINE AND POLICE STATE MEASURES ARE UNJUSTIFIED.

In such a situation of universal hysteria, when science and facts don’t matter, where can you turn for reliable information?

Can you trust the US government, for example, to tell the truth?

Remember the Iraq war, and the lies told to get us to accept it? The US government is most definitely not a reliable source of information.

Yet, the US government controls the purse strings of both the WHO and the CDC, effectively comtrolling these two “leading” world health “authorities”. Neither one, therefore, can be relied upon.

Furthermore, who controls the US government? Well, if you are five years old, you might say that the US is a democracy, so the people control the government. Adults might have a different answer.

The US government, like most governments and institutions in the world, have experienced what sociologists call “institutional capture”. Big Oil and fossil fuel giants, the big banks, arms manufacturers, agribusiness giants, chemical giants, biotech giants, along with Big Tech and the pharmaceutical industry, now have effective control over Washington – as is perfectly clear to the majority of people in the US and around the world.

Would the pharmaceutical industry lie? Is there a conflict of interest with Big Pharma controlling Washington, and in turn, controlling the WHO and CDC? Perhaps it is plausible?

What are we, two?

Six corporations control 80% of the major media world-wide.

Big business – Davos, Wall Street and the City of London, along with the military industrial complex, which US Republican President and Supreme Allied Forces  Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us about, in his farewell address in 1961, and which has become the loyal servant and trained attack dog of the world’s plutocratic elite – has taken over the global economy and the financial system, the major international institutions, many if not most NGOs, a great percentage of academia,  the majority of world governments, and the major corporate and state media. (See Peter Phillips, Giants: The Global Power Elite)

Do we really think the roughly 400 global corporate power elite have no agenda other than the truth? They never lie? Maybe they’re interested in profits, perhaps?

People need to give their heads a shake. In the face of a slow motion global corporate coup, governments, ministrys of health, and health authorities, along with the major media, are no longer credible, neutral, or reliable.

They have all experienced institutional capture. They may tell the facts, or they may not. Doctors and nurses and Ministries of Health may be well-informed, or may themselves be manipulated and dangerously misled.

As to the current global coronavirus crisis, I have so far found only four reliable sources. That is rather staggering, even to me.

Not surprisingly, the WHO and CDC are not reliable sources of health information. Nor are governments or the major media. Institutional capture – the global corporate take-over, that is – has claimed them all, with only rare exceptions world-wide.

For reliable information on the coronavirus crisis, therefore, I would recommend the following sources, and only the following sources, for the time being:

GreenMedInfo

Trends Research

The Corbett Report

Media Failure, Again

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on March 24, 2020 by jtoddring

Remember the Iraq War? Remember the lies that were passed off by the elite, and repeated by the media without question, without any fact-checking or investigation? Well, it’s happening again.

But every time we repeat the mistakes of history, the stakes get higher.

*

On the eve of the US war against Iraq, the corporate and state media all lined up to dutifully play the role of echo chamber for the official narrative created by the Western elite: Saddam has WMDs, Saddam is linked to Al Qaeda, Saddam was behind 9/11 – all three points later being proven to be lies.

The war on Iraq was always about the oil. But the people had to be lied to and manipulated into supporting the war. The media willingly complied.

None of the major media questioned the official narrative of ruling elites. None bothered to investigate or check the facts. The embarrassingly mistitled alternative media and independent media, with few exceptions, also lined up to repeat the official narrative of the new “War On Terrorism” – which was and is a global imperial war for oil and other resources, and a war on democracy and freedom at home and abroad.

And it is happening again.

All the major media, state and corporate, spout the official narrative: the coronavirus is extraordinarily dangerous – contrary to the facts, which are: 11,000 deaths to date from coronavirus vs 50,000 deaths PER DAY from hunger and obesity; therefore, mass quarantine, effectively mass house arrests, suspension of basic civil rights and constitutional rule, and draconian/authoritarian/police state responses, are necessary and justified – again, contrary to both prudence, and also the facts, since the Italian government’s own study shows there is virtually zero risk of contagion unless you are either very old or already sick and immune compromised.

And not only have all the major state and corporate media lined up to unquestioningly repeat the official government and elite narrative, but so have virtually all the so-called alternative and independent media. This is appalling, as well as criminally negligent, complicitous, and extremely dangerous.

The real dangers are two: power-mongers (that is, fascists), and lies.

The major media, along with most of the alternative media, were, and are, complicit in mass murder during the war on Iraq, and the on-going wars across the Middle East. Now they are colluding and complicit with the full scale war on basic civil rights, freedom, democracy, and constitutional rule, and the instituting of a new global fascist police state.

Bravo.

I spent 35 years doing intensive research, study and analysis in politics, philosophy and world issues, and in the process collected some of the best sources and resources on the planet. Most of my best sources are failing now. That is deeply disturbing.

Only a handful of sources are getting it right on the coronavirus event: Gerald Celente and Trends Journal, The Corbett Report, GreenMedInfo, and myself. Just four sources world-wide getting the story right, from what I have seen? That is deeply disturbing. I haven’t done a thorough survey or assessment of the alternative media, but what is clear and undeniable is that both the major media, and the so-called alternative media, are failing, again.

We need to be very thoughtful now, especially about our sources of news, information and analysis. Above all, we need to question everything, and everyone, and think for ourselves. Now more than ever.

A little shock therapy for the masses

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on March 21, 2020 by jtoddring

Thoughts on Trump, the Deep State, Psyops & the Virus:

Explains what is happening now…. The Shock Doctrine (book and film).

The deep state steers Trump. (Demonstrated fact.) Smart move would be to nudge him to dismiss the coronavirus as over-hyped. (Speculative as to nudging, but he did.) Then the lemmings will trip over themselves to avoid guilt by association. (Happened.) But even idiots can be right sometimes, remember. (Fact.)

Even a broken watch tells the right time twice a day. But the centre and left reacted like Pavlov’s dogs.

Now they are loathe to admit they made a mistake, so they refuse to look at facts, and instead self-quarantine, self-isolate, engage in “social distancing”, which instantiates the divide and conquer program, thus they effectively self-neuter and self-lobotomize, and dig in.

The majority are easily manipulated by elites playing power games…. It’s terrifying how easy the majority can be manipulated. That is the real danger.

The neoliberals play good cop, the neoconservatives play bad cop, but both are corporatists – which, as Mussolini said, means fascists. Get it?

Global Famine Approaches As Pollinators Die From Pesticides – But Virus Hysteria & Mass Distraction Reign

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 20, 2020 by jtoddring

Strolling just now, with my belle and my boy, enjoying the spring day, trying not to worry too much about the mass insanity which has gripped the people, as fear and panic are daily manufactured, and a virus that has 1% the death toll of the common flu is hyped as the next thing to the Black Plague – and fascist measures are deemed necessary and are everywhere justified, and accepted – I am delighted to see the first flowers of spring: first yellow crocuses, in a neighbour’s garden, then purple crocuses, in our own garden.

I say to my boy, we should clean out the flower beds now, before the flowers get any higher, or any more come up, so we don’t damage them by raking. But then I remember what we read last spring: that it is important for the insects to leave the cover of leaf debris on the ground until there have been a few days in a row above 10 degrees Celsius (don’t quote me – check that; but something like that), so that the insects can survive the cold; because, in turn, they are the first food for the birds in the spring.

That all made sense, for the sake of the birds, whose populations are collapsing, and the sake of the insects, whose populations are collapsing, and for the humans – us – whose populations are going to collapse, and soon, unless we stop destroying the ecosystems of the Earth, upon which we depend for our lives.

I then remembered that neonicitinide pesticides have been identified as the cause of the mass die-off and population collapse of insects world-wide. (It attacks the nervous systems, both of insects and of other species, including humans.) The mass global die-off of insects is in turn causing a mass die-off and collapse of bird species world-wide.

Additionally, the mass die-off and collapse of insect species includes the pollinator species – butterflies and bees, for example. And, as Einstein said, “If the bees die, humanity will die.”

Unless we immediately ban neonictinide pesticides, and stop the mass die-off of the bees, butterflies and other pollinators, we will experience global crop failure, global famine, and mass starvation, within two decades.

But nobody is talking about that now. Nobody is talking about our fossil fuel addiction needing to be halted immediately, or the pipeline protests that held the headlines across Canada before the virus hype took over and took over our attention.

Nobody is talking about the fact that the world’s scientific community announced in 2018 that we have until 2030 to get off of fossil fuels, or we will experience catastrophic results within 20 years.

Nobody is talking about the fact that the response to the coronavirus is wildly out of sync with the numbers, or that the draconian response is vastly more dangerous than the virus itself.

The US has had under 200 deaths from the coronavirus – compared to 20,000 per year from murder, 40,000 people dying a year from traffic accidents, 50,000 deaths by suicide per year, 80,000 deaths a year from the common flu, and 200,000 deaths per year from pharmaceutical drugs which were correctly taken and correctly prescribed (according to US government statistics).

What do facts matter when there is hysteria in the air? They matter nothing, it seems.

The deaths that will be caused by crashing the global economy will be far greater than the 7,000 deaths world-wide from the virus – which is just a sliver of the 650,000 deaths caused every year by the common flu. And the economic impact of the clearly fascist response, which will be catastrophic, is nothing compared to the dangers posed by fascism itself.

So, don’t worry about global economic collapse.

Don’t worry about pesticides causing cancer, autism, digestive disorders and fatal kidney failure to skyrocket.

Don’t worry about pesticides causing mass die-offs of pollinator species, leading to global crop failure, famine and mass starvation within 20 years.

Don’t worry about fossil fuel addiction causing cataclysmic results within 20 years.

No, focus on a virus that has a fraction of the death toll as bathtub drownings.

Madness has taken hold, while the real dangers are ignored.

This does not bode well.

The people need to question the media, the government, and the health authorities, far more than they do. Confidence, faith and trust in all of these is at record low levels, and continues to fall – but still, people are much too naive, unquestioning and uncritical.

Unless the people begin to question more, think more, and regain their ability to realistically assess risks and dangers – or even, to separate facts and reality from fiction and hyperbole – we are in truly grave danger.

The danger is real.

But the people are afraid for all the wrong reasons.

Importing From China: A Virus? Or A Totalitarian Model Of Elite Control?

Someone prescient once said, “Those who would sacrifice a little freedom for a little security, deserve neither, and will lose both.” We would do well to remember those words now.

And we are most definitely in the process of losing both, as we speak.

But maybe we aspire to be very healthy, germ-free slaves?

*

A friend said to me the other day, “Do you think China has 700 million people under lockdown for no reason?!”

I replied by saying:

China has been a police state for over fifty years, at least since the start of the “Cultural Revolution” in 1966 – the Chinese government prefers lockdown, for reasons of control: any pretext will do.

The thought of China taking such drastic measures to contain this latest virus surely makes many people assume that the virus must truly be terrifically dangerous. Surely China would not take such drastic or draconian measures if it were not. But we just explained why the Chinese government prefers totalitarian control measures, under any and all circumstances – and any crisis, real or imagined, will do for creating the justification for authoritarian measures. (Disaster capitalism is a globalized game endeavour.)

The entire assumption that the danger must be real if the government response is so extreme, simply falls apart upon examination, or the slightest critical thought.

China now has 600 million security cameras for 1.2 billion people – one camera for every two people, and with ever growing, soon to be total surveillance.

China now has a system of social credits, incorporated into its social control system, which is plugged into its surveillance system, and its economy. If you spit on the sidewalk, or jaywalk, are involved in one of the thousands of protests occurring every day, or, heaven forbid, criticize the government, then, low and behold, you find that you are refused for loans, mortgages, even the purchase of a train ticket. (And Facebook is working hard to introduce a similar system for the West. Good ole’ Zuck.)

China has gone headlong, and willfully, into a very consciously totalitarian system of extreme authoritarian control. What the Chinese government does, should not be taken as a good model for our policies, responses or behaviour: China is a police state.

Not only are China’s actions frequently and utterly unacceptable in a free society; but its actions are frequently motivated, not by concern for public health, for example, but by simple control.

*

What we should be more concerned about, is not the import of a few germs from China, which, so far, are much less dangerous than the flu: but the import of a totalitarian social model which would make Orwell cringe in horror.

But, then again, we in the West now have our own brand of technocracy, corporate fascism, and Orwellian oligarchy. It’s called the ECB, the Fed, the military-industrial-security complex – or simply, the corporate police state.

We needn’t import anything from China, as far as authoritarian social models go. In fact, the elite from East and West might want to swap notes. And I’m sure that Western and Eastern oligarchs have, and are, busily sharing notes.

After all, the Chinese authoritarians are our business partners now. A shared hatred for democracy and freedom, which is common, and nearly universal among the ruling classes of both East and West, simply seals the pact.

China has embraced neo-feudal corporatism. The West has embraced corporatist neo-feudalism. One is the mirror image of the other. The former has the bureaucratic elite in charge of a corporate capitalist economy; the latter has the corporate elite in charge of the bureaucratic and political-state powers. But although they have different inflections, both represent the merger of business and the state, which, as Mussolini said, is properly called corporatism, which is the proper term for fascism.

So, welcome to the Brave New World, germophobes. Wash your hands before kissing the ground before your masters, please.

*

De-industrializing the Western nations, and offshoring production to China and other low-wage regions, was astronomically profitable for the Western business elite. But, it destroyed the middle class at home; destroyed and gutted domestic consumer market demand, thus destroying and hollowing out the economy, which is now ready for implosion and collapse; caused inequality and poverty to soar; has led to a growing backlash and rising social tensions, as well as right-wing pseudo-populist movements of demagoguery and scape-goating (think Trump and co, and even worse); and with the resulting social, economic and political tensions about to erupt, either into revolution, or civil war, as a result. Good plan.

This has been truly great leadership, for the past 50 years. Now, we are reaping the harvest.

Short-sighted would be one word for it. The destruction and collapse of the United States, and the entire Western world, brought on by the greed and egomania, and power-lust, of the Western business and plutocratic elite, would be a more precise and detailed description.

In any case, to import China’s model of authoritarian, Orwellian, and totalitarian social control – based on the full and active cooperation of the new tech giants, and the Western corporate and governmental powers, is, quite simply put, disastrously insane.

We are importing a dark age. And everyone is worried about a few bugs.

Smart thinking.

Coronavirus Update – Panic or Propaganda? Both? Or Simply Mass Insanity? All The Above

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 5, 2020 by jtoddring

As of today, the mass media hype and hysteria over the latest exotic virus continues to spread, unabated. In its wake, mass insanity is spreading nearly as fast. Let’s step back, and look at the figures, to try and gain some much-needed perspective.

As of today, 3,200 people have died of the coronavirus globally. For perspective, that is 1/200th of the annual death toll from the flu, and a statistically zero percent of the DAILY death toll from both poverty (hunger) and obesity (poor diets).

The flu kills 650,000 a year. Hunger and obesity each kill over 20,000 people a day. The corona virus has killed 3,200.

Let those figures sink in.

Do we have reason to be concerned? It is possible. New viruses could pose serious dangers. This one has an 80% infectious rate and a 15% mortality rate, I believe. That is serious, but far from the Black Death, the Plague that hit Europe roughly 600 years ago, and killed 30-50% of the population. Could this be “the big one” – the virus that is a once in 500 year epidemic? Possible, but extremely unlikely.

Are the CDC, WHO, governments and major media reliable sources of information? Do we really have to ask that question? Both the CDC and WHO have been effectively taken over by the ruling corporate oligarchy in general, including Big Pharma, as have the majority of governments – certainly in the US, Canada, Britain and Europe. And six corporate empires control all the major media in the world – all of them in bed, one way or another, directly or indirectly, with Big Pharma. And all of them interested in a grand narrative of fear, with a clear strategy of divide and conquer. Anyone who takes his or her information uncritically from any of these sources needs their head read.

We should remember that the global pharmaceutical market is roughly on par with Big Oil, fossil fuels, and illegal drugs – each worth roughly $1 trillion a year. That is a very big trough, indeed; and we should never underestimate the power of greed – or power lust, which is even more dangerous, and ever-present, in every generation, of course.

Does anyone remember the Patriot Act? Or the military industrial complex? Or the war machine? Or the corporate take-over of virtually every government, along with the major media, the global economy, and the global financial system? Now there are some things to keep you up at night. Things to be deeply concerned about.

Re-read Orwell. And Chomsky. Perspective is critical.

From what I can see, I’d hasten to avoid lending the latest virus hype legitimacy, myself; because it looks like a psyops program, from what I can see: sow fear; divide and conquer; get the people ready to accept a lock-down – for their own protection, of course; feed the slow-motion corporate-fascist coup.

Do you disagree? Don’t be too quick to dismiss such a possibility. Look at the undeniable growth of a new global surveillance and police state, along side the equally undeniable corporate take-over of the economy, the financial system, the major media, and most political systems and governments of the world, along side the seemingly vast exaggeration of actual virus dangers. Occam’s razor would lead to the conclusion I just made, as the most likely explanation. We don’t know yet, but it is more plausible and more likely than this virus being as dangerous as it is being presented. The official narrative seems wildly out of sync with the facts. It should make us question, at least.

The known facts indicate that this latest virus represents a fraction of the danger of the flu. That may change, but it is the present reality.

The known facts therefore indicate, at this time at least, that we should be far more concerned with the ongoing, slow-motion fascist-corporate coup, which has clearly been in play since at least 2001 and the start of the “war on terror” – which has everywhere been a war on freedom, truth, and democracy, and a rationale for building a global surveillance system and police state.

Just how slow on the uptake are the masses anyway? I trust that at least a growing minority are paying some attention to what is really going on, or we are in far deeper trouble than being “plagued” by an exotic bug that is far less dangerous than the flu.

Anyone for mass quarantine?

How about voluntary (“”) house arrest? Ah, but that has already begun. The psyops war is working quite well, even if basic sanity among the people is not.
