Americans are “disgusted” by their government
In an interview with WPTZ-TV, Vermont Independent Bernie Sanders said “people are angry, they’re upset and they’re frustrated. They have every reason to be. What people want is for Congress to address the issues that are facing the American people: and that’s creating jobs and raising the minimum wage, dealing with the affordability of college; and they’re disgusted by what they’re seeing.”
The great majority of Americans, for decades now, have wanted a Canadian style universal, not for profit public health care system – which, by the way, costs far less to taxpayers than the present for-profit government subsidized behemoth. They are not happy with Obama’s pro-corporate Obamacare package. But neither do they want the government to shut down public services. They are increasingly disgusted by both major parties. They want Washington to get its shit together, and serve the people, and not just Wall Street and corporate America, and they are getting fed up.
Things are heating up, folks.
